Even though Valentine day is a day for celebrating the special bond of love for people across the globe, it holds a special meaning in the lives of most Chinese girls. Irrespective of the fact that the traditional Chinese Valentine day is not celebrated on the 14th of February, this international day of love has the same significance for a majority of Chinese females. Moreover, with an increasing number of Chinese women choosing to date non-Chinese men, celebrating this day has become quite common within the Chinese society.
Traditionally, Chinese girls are extremely romantic and have a strong belief in the existence of true love. They generally grow up hearing romantic tales of handsome and courageous heroes who risk everything to become united with their beloved. Rather than thinking of love as a means of recreation and pleasure, they consider it to be the most beautiful human emotion that binds two strangers in a strong relationship intended to last for a lifetime. This is probably why Chinese women firmly believe in the concept of one life and one love. In view of the above facts, it is only natural that these oriental girls celebrate the festival of love with such zealousness and fervor.
Although most Chinese girls believe in celebrating the feeling of love everyday in their lives, Valentine day holds a special place in their hearts. Like most other girls from around the world, they want to make this day special for their partners and express their feelings for them in a unique manner. However, unlike their western counterparts, rather than demanding lavish gifts and presents from their partners, they are more interested in spending quality time with them and enjoy their company. Unlike the women from west, Chinese girls rarely ask their partners to prove their love over and over again, and trust them to remain loyal and dedicated towards them just like these girls tend to be in all their relationships.
